An experienced fire safety professional at the head of the company

Director Stuart Ruckledge is an experienced fire safety professional who served over 26 years with Local Authority Fire and Rescue Services.

He is a Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers and UK Association of Fire Investigators.  

Stuart has a Fire Engineering degree from the University of Central Lancashire and has been a Fire Safety Manager for over 12 years. He has extensive experience with enforcement and prosecutions under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Formerly Stuart was the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) lead for Mobility Scooters and led the team that wrote the national guidance document on the Storage and Use of Mobility Scooters.  

He has also had his work published ‘The dangers of mobility scooters in compartment fires’, FIRE magazine June 2013 and ‘The benefits to Fire and Rescue Services of Site Safe notifications using the CFOA website portal’, Local Authority Building Control (LABC) newsletter April 2015.  

Alongside his technical fire safety knowledge, Stuart brings his operational experience as Flexi-duty Officer, attending incidents as level two tactical commander, Marauding Terrorist Attack (MTA) Operational Commander, Flood and Water Incident Tactical Commander. He was the Single Point of Contact for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).  

He is also an experienced multi-agency debriefer with the Civil Contingencies Unit part of the Staffordshire Local Resilience Forum.

Stuart holds the NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, a globally recognised qualification.
